Several local businesses are providing prizes for raffle winners.
This fair occurs in conjunction with the recently opened "Beyond Bollywood: Indian Americans Shape the Nation" exhibition created by the Smithsonian Asian Pacific American Center and the Smithsonian Institution Traveling Exhibition Service augmented by a local exhibition produced by the Indo-American Heritage Museum.
This exhibition explores the cultural heritage, daily experiences, and many contributions that Indians and Indian Americans have made in the United States. Visitors also will learn about Chicago's diverse Indian American heritage through oral histories and artifacts contributed by the local community.
The exhibition, co-presented in Chicago by The Field Museum and the Indo-American Heritage Museum is generously supported by the Chicago Community Trust.
