Abbott to buy back $3 billion in stock
Updated Jun 17, 2013 10:36 AMLibertyville Township-based Abbott Laboratories’ board of directors recently approved a new share repurchase program for up to $3 billion in common stock. The program replaces the recently completed $5 billion program that was announced in October 2008, the company said in a release. The purchases may be made from time to time as market conditions warrant and subject to regulatory considerations.

St. Viator leads all-star effort
Posted Jun 15, 2013 8:34 PMSt. Viator was best represented in this year’s Class A all-star game at Sandburg in Orland Park on June 6 as Mike Julius, Dan O’Malley, Andrew Romano, Billy Spingola and Peter Trunk were selected to the team. O’Malley had a hat trick to lead the Black team, which was coached by St. Viator’s Bill Sanford, to a 16-8 victory over the White team.
