Real heroes come out at the C2E2 Convention

While Chicagoans come to see the biggest names in pop culture at C2E2 this weekend they can share their superpowers and save a life at the Heartland Blood Centers' blood drive on site!

Heartland Blood Centers, the leading provider of donated blood for Chicago-area hospitals, will be hosting the 2017 C2E2 blood drive as part of the show!

Amy Smith, director of donor recruitment at Heartland Blood Centers, says, "We are very excited to be back at C2E2 this year. It is a great show and a lot of fun. It is always inspiring to see how many people turn out to donate. This year's goal is to collect 500 donations to provide the blood needed to area hospitals."

C2E2's generosity in sponsoring this blood drive has offered hundreds of community minded individuals the opportunity to participate in the volunteer blood program.

WHEN: April 21st through April 23rd, 2017 during the show

WHO: To be a blood donor, individuals must be at least 17 years old, or 16 with written parental permission; weigh at least 110 pounds; be symptom free of cold, flu and allergies; and be in general good health. Donors who have traveled outside the United States within the past 12 months should contact Heartland at (800) 7TO-GIVE to determine eligibility.
