COD to Host 25th Annual Asia Symposium 'China: Historical Roots, Culture and Contemporary Issues' March 14 and 15

College of DuPage will host the 25th annual Asia Symposium "China: Historical Roots, Culture and Contemporary Issues" on Tuesday, March 14, and Wednesday, March 15, in the Student Resource Center, Room 2000, on the College's Glen Ellyn campus, 425 Fawell Blvd.

All programs are free and open to the public.

Hosted by the Asia Committee and sponsored by the College's Global Education office, this two-day symposium will feature presentations covering a broad range of topics related to China, including Chinese history, Confucius in the 21st century, China's cultural revolution, martial arts and Tai Chi demonstrations, an international student fashion show, and a performance by the Northern Illinois University Chinese Music Ensemble.

The Asia Committee at College of DuPage was established with the goal of fostering a richer understanding and appreciation of the cultures of Asia through interdisciplinary events that incorporate diverse fields such as anthropology, art, economics, history, literature, philosophy, political science and psychology.
