Global Education Week at COD Nov. 14 to 17

College of DuPage will celebrate Global Education Week with a series of events from Monday, Nov. 14, to Thursday, Nov. 17, on the College's Glen Ellyn campus, 425 Fawell Blvd.

All events are free and open to the public.

Monday, Nov. 14

Global Education Week Opening Ceremony Poetry Slam

Noon to 1 p.m. in the Student Services Center Atrium.

Oxfam Hunger Banquet. RSVP required.

7 to 8:30 p.m. in the Student Resource Center, Room 2000.

Tuesday, Nov. 15

Global Hot Spots current events discussion.

12:30 to 1:30 p.m. in the Student Services Center Atrium.

"Is the Peace Corps for Me?"

1 to 2 p.m. in the Student Services Center, Room 2201.

Wednesday, Nov. 16

Global Education Fair

10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Student Services Center Atrium.

"Financing Study Abroad" presentation

Noon to 1 p.m. in the Student Services Center, Room 2201.

"See the World, Teach English Abroad" presentation.

1 to 2 p.m. in the Student Services Center, Room 2201.

Thursday, Nov. 17

"Cultural Backpacking: How to Plan, Pack and Experience the World on a Shoestring"

1 to 2 p.m. in the Student Services Center, Room 2201.

Global Education Week will also feature a World Flag Display on the third floor of the library near the circulation desk, a photo contest and World Peace Trees located around campus.

These events are sponsored by College of DuPage Field Studies/Study Abroad/Global Education, Community College Initiative, International Student Services, the Living Leadership program and the Student Leadership Council.
