Tom Cullerton offers seniors resources to prevent fraud

VILLA PARK - State Senator Tom Cullerton (D-Villa Park) will host a series of Silver Beat seminars on Wednesday, Aug. 10 throughout his legislative district to provide senior citizens with resources to prevent fraud.

"Protecting seniors is a top priority. These seminars offer them an opportunity to learn how to protect themselves from fraud," Cullerton said.

There will be three Silver Beat seminars:

10 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Itasca Park District

350 E. Irving Park Road, Itasca

Noon to 1 p.m.

Addison Township office

401 N. Addison Road, Addison

2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Hanover Township Senior Center

240 S. Illinois 59, Bartlett

The seminars are offered by Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan's office. Her staff will provide information about protecting senior citizens and their families from financial scams and health care fraud.
