COD Fashion Students Earn Honors During Annual Fashion Show

Five Fashion Studies students at College of DuPage earned honors during the standing-room-only fashion show "Kaleidoscopic." Click here for photos.

The award recipients are Milijana Delic (Oakbrook Terrace), Most Marketable Garment; Li Sheng (Chicago), Most Outstanding Beginning Designer and Best Construction; Monika Gawlak (Clarendon Hills), Runner Up for Beginning Designer, Best Single Garment; Soma Jain (Naperville), Most Outstanding Advanced Designer; and Daniela Pantazi (Bolingbrook), Runner Up for Advanced Designer.

"The students took the theme of 'Kaleidoscopic' and ran with it," said Fashion Studies Lecturer Melissa Heischberg, who coordinated this year's event. "The show was imaginative and colorful. Having models from the Maria Bonita Modeling Agency in Aurora added to the runway presentation, while our own Cosmetology students did an excellent job with makeup and hair. We could not have asked for better collaborators, and it all combined for another successful event."
