#ILGive looks to raise $6 million for social impact organizations in one day

On #ILGive - Dec. 1 - nonprofits, families, businesses, and students around the world come together for one common purpose: to celebrate generosity and to give. In Illinois, we have one bold goal: $6 million raised by Illinois social impact organizations - in one day.

#ILGive is a statewide, nonpartisan movement to support the nonprofit communities in Illinois by increasing individual civic, social, and philanthropic engagement.

Its goal is to unite the state of Illinois in celebrating the contributions nonprofits make to increasing the quality of life in our state and to promote the values of philanthropy in providing ongoing support for their missions.

This campaign welcomes the active participation of individuals, community leaders, nonprofits, elected officials, corporate partners, and the funding community - as we all have a stake in ensuring a stronger Illinois by working together.

#ILGive will launch on Tuesday, Dec. 1, as part of the nationwide #GivingTuesday campaign. Visit www.ilgive.com
