Texas Hold'Em Poker Tournament to benefit Mooseheart

Join the inaugural Texas Hold'em Poker Tournament to benefit Mooseheart Child City and School from 6 to 11 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 14, at Mooseheart's Paul J. O'Hollaren Center, on Route 31, two miles north of the I-88/Route 31 exit.

Seating, drinks and dinner begin at 5 p.m., with a silent auction which closes at 9 p.m.

The event will feature a $15,000 Final Table, limited to state of Illinois gaming regulations for cash payout and based on 200 players. First place receives $10,000 cash and prizes; second place, $3,000 cash and prizes; and third place, $2,000 cash and prizes.

There is a $200 buy-in per seat; $50 for nonpaying guests. You must be 21 or older to enter. Reservations are due by Monday, Nov. 9. Players must be seated by 5:45 p.m., 15 minutes before the start. Beer, wine, soft drinks and buffet dinner included with entry. There will be cash games offered after tournament play. The registration form is available at www.moosecharities.org.

Sponsorships are needed. The Ace of Hearts level for $5,000 includes one reserved private table with nine seats, one customized take-home table felt (need three weeks notice), verbal acknowledgment and name and logo displayed in Poker Room. The King of Hearts level for $2,500 includes four reserved seats, one customized take-home table felt (need three weeks notice), verbal acknowledgment and name displayed in Poker Room. The Queen of Hearts level for $1,000 includes two reserved seats, verbal acknowledgment and name displayed in Poker Room; and the $500 Jack of Hearts level includes one reserved seat and verbal acknowledgment. Founded in 1913, Mooseheart is supported completely through private donations - the great majority of which come from the 1 million men and women of the Moose fraternal organization throughout the U.S., Canada, Great Britain and Bermuda. Mooseheart is home to approximately 200 students, from preschool to high school seniors. Applications for admission to Mooseheart are considered from any family whose children are, for whatever reason, lacking a stable home environment.
