The Patty Turner Center hosts their Annual Classic Car Show, 8:15 - 10:00 a.m., on Tuesday, May 27, 2014. Everyone is welcome to attend.

Nearly 100 members and friends of the Patty Turner Center Men's Club meet every Tuesday morning for programs on history, travel, current affairs, culture and other topics of general interest. A popular annual program is the Car Show, which attracts owners of a variety of historic vehicles.

Cars that will be on display include a 1929 Model A Ford Special Coupe, 1953 Jaguar XK-120 Fixed-Head Coupe, 1954 Victress S1-A, 1955 Rolls-Royce Silver Wraith Touring Saloon, 1957 Ford Thunderbird, 1969 Camaro Super Sport Convertible, 1970 Chevrolet Impala Convertible, 1987 Corvette Convertible, 1997 Porsche 911 and several others.

As a special feature of the show, the Deerfield-Bannockburn Fire Protection District will present FDNY Rescue 4, a fire truck that served at the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001. The truck, now fully operational and touring the country, is an important piece of American history and a memorial to all fire, police, medical, and other first responders.

The Patty Turner Center is an enrichment program of the Deerfield Park District, in cooperation with the Village of Deerfield. Located at 375 Elm Street, in Deerfield, the Center offers year-round events, trips, social services and programming for adults 50 years and up.
