Artist to offer plein air painting workshops at historical museum

It's spring! Grab your gear and head outdoors with plein air artist Anne Kauff in her “Capturing Spring's Palette” workshops.

Whether you're an accomplished painter or early in your painting experience, painting outdoors has a unique set of challenges. Spring is a magical time to paint outdoors. Learn to see the diversity of color and capture what inspires you as we meet three different days at three different locations.

Each day will begin with a demonstration, followed by individual instruction and critiques. Composition, color, value, and brushwork will all be covered. Pack a lunch for the midday break.

Workshops meet on Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Dates and locations are: May 4 at the Arlington Heights Historical Museum; May 11 at Lake Arlington, and May 18 at Buffalo Creek Reservoir.

Fee is $70 per workshop or $180 for all three. Participants are responsible for all materials for outdoor set up including easel; a supply list and specific addresses will be emailed to participants prior to the start date.
