Marriage Tune-Up Retreat to be repeated this summer

This retreat includes couple private-times, as well as group-presentations sharing tune-up tools for experienced marriages. There is no required group sharing. Sharing is between husband and wife, by themselves, in their hotel room.

This special Get-Away Weekend is presented by Lutheran Marriage Encounter, which follows the basic time-tested Marriage Encounter program, proven by many couples throughout the USA and other countries. Married couples (man & woman) of any faith or age are invited to take part in this marriage tune-up retreat. No attempts are made to convert anyone to Christianity (or Lutheranism). The goal is strictly to help each good marriage become a better marriage. Couples Encountered in the past are encouraged to attend as a renewal of their previous Weekend experience.

For more details (and couples' comments), couples can check out http://www.NorthernIllinoisLME.org (local), or http://www.GodLovesMarriage.org (national). A complementary DVD with highlights of an LME Weekend is available as noted on the Northern Illinois LME website, under video. (This DVD was a one-time project. This coming Weekend will not be recorded.)

This event will be held at the Hyatt Deerfield Hotel (NE corner of I-294 & Lake Cook Rd.), Deerfield, IL. Applications for this Weekend must be received by Thursday, July 12, 2012. Applications can be submitted online at either website above, or by US Mail with a form from the Northern Illinois website. There is a $45/couple application fee, and no other required fees. During the Weekend, there will be an opportunity to invest in the future of LME by making a confidential freewill contribution. LME is all-volunteer and is not funded by any church body. Donations are received from volunteers and others. Any donation (even zero) is determined by each couple, alone, in their room.

It is requested that participants seriously participate in the entire Weekend program to gain the most out of their Weekend Experience.
