Blog as a Genealogy Communication Tool

CAGGNI, The Computer-Assisted Genealogy Group of Northern Illinois, will present a workshop about the use of Blogging. The workshop is free and open to the public.

The workshop will assist users to consider different uses of the Blog for Genealogy purposes: to create, via a step-by-step process, their own Blog on Blogger.com, and to become familiar with several approaches for information sharing and communication. Bring your laptop to the workshop to be held from 10:30 to 12:30 on Saturday January 12th at the main Schaumburg, 130 S Roselle Rd, Schaumburg.

The program will be presented by CAGGNI Board member Elaine Beaudoin.

While the regular meetings of CAGGNI are held on the third Saturday of each month, this workshop is one the "Second Saturday Workshops" held to present a variety of "how to" programs, such as the use of genealogy software like Family Tree Maker, The Master Genealogist, Ancestral Quest, Reunion, and other topics such as how to use the computer to make a family scrapbook. Please join us for an interesting and informative program. For more information see our website, wwww.caggni.org or contact archivist@caggni.org.
