Searching for parishoners of Resurrection parish
The Resurrection Parish Reunion Committee is searching for former parishioners and former students of Resurrection School, which was located at 5082 W. Jackson Blvd. until 1984. The group's fourth reunion will be held on Saturday, June 23, 2012, at Drury Lane Oakbrook Terrace, beginning at 11 a.m. Please send information and inquiries to Resurrection Parish Reunion, P.O. Exhibits showing what's happening on the former church and school grounds at Jackson Boulevard and Leamington Ave. will be on display. The Chicago Jesuit Academy has opened a middle school for boys in the building parishioners remember as "the new school." A second Jesuit group has built a new coed high school, Christ the King Jesuit College Preparatory High School, on the site of the former church. The Reunion Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m., followed by a social hour, luncheon, and an afternoon of reminiscing and renewing old acquaintances.
