"Chicago Blackhawks Day" at Arlington Racetrack is Saturday, Aug. 8, and the St. Charles Singles Club will be there. Join club members at the front entrance, Euclid side, at 11:30 a.m. Cost is $8 for adults or $3 for kids; parking is free. For information, contact Kathy at (708) 819-9246.
On Saturday, Aug. 15, meet in the Villa Olivia parking lot at 3:30 p.m. for the third annual Road Rally. Cost is $3 per person if paid in advance, $4 after Aug. 10; these fees cover the cost of prizes; refreshments are on your own. Rain date is Aug. 22. For details, call Gary at (847) 312-6676.
Geneva will be the destination for two events. On Wednesday, Aug. 19, join in some mini-golf at 6:30 p.m. at Stone Creek Mini Golf, 101 North St., Geneva. On Saturday, Aug. 22, meet for breakfast at Wildwood Restaurant, 477 S. Third St. in Geneva. After breakfast, see the antique and classic cars at the annual Geneva Concours d'Elegance. Check the website, www.stcharlessinglesclub.com, for time and costs.
The club has many exciting events planned throughout the summer in addition to the regular Villa Olivia dances on the second and fourth Mondays, breakfasts, bowling, multiple game nights, volunteering at Northern Illinois Food Bank, and more.
