Take Haunted Hike at Boy Scout Fright Night

Come join the Boy Scouts of America Lakota Lodge Order of the Arrow's 22nd annual Haunted Hike.

The Lodge presents "Fractured Goose Tales from Beyond" from 7-10:30 p.m. Friday Oct. 27, and 6-10:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 28. Both nights having an extra scary hike starting at 9:30 p.m. A flashlight, unmasked hike for younger children is from 3-5:30 p.m. Saturday.

The hikes will be at the historic Des Plaines Methodist Camp Ground, 1890 E. Algonquin Road, east of River Road, in Des Plaines.

Under the circus tent you will find a live band, concessions, free games and a Boy Scout collector patch for $5. A campfire will be provided, but bring your own marshmallows and other fixings for your group outing.

Prices at the gate are $7 for Scouts and Scouters in uniform; $8 for children ages 5 to 12; and $9 for ages 13 and older.

There is an advance online offer at www.lakotalodge.org/haunted-hike. You may purchase just tickets or a combo that includes a ticket, event patch and glow in the dark stick. Prices for the combo are $11 for Scouts and Scouters in uniform; $12 for ages 12 and younger; and $13 for ages 13 and older. This offer expires Wednesday, Oct. 25.
