The Chicago Philharmonic Presents “Brahms, Beethoven, Bartok” in Park Ridge
The Chicago Philharmonic Chamber Players will wrap up their three concert series at St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Park Ridge with Brahms, Beethoven, Bartok on Sunday, April 14 at 3 p.m. Johannes Brahms Trio for Clarinet, Cello and Piano in A minor, Opus 114 will begin the program followed by Bela Bartok Contrasts for Clarinet, Violin, and Piano and concluding with Ludwig van Beethoven Piano Trio in E-flat Major, Opus 70, No 2. The Chicago Philharmonic Chamber Players featured are Ann Palen, Violin; Karl Davies, Viola; Margaret Daly, Cello; John Goodwin, Piano; and Wagner Campos, Clarinet
The Chicago Philharmonic Chambers Players are part of The Chicago Philharmonic Society, a musician driven, Chicago-based not-for-profit organization originally established in 1988 by the principals of the Lyric Opera Orchestra. Over the years, the core group of Lyric players has expanded to become a musical community of over 200 professional players who form the artistic strength of the Chicago Philharmonic Orchestra. A central goal of the Society is to bring the excitement and experience of live music to audiences throughout metropolitan Chicago. The Chicago Philharmonic is the official orchestra of the Joffrey Ballet.
The concert takes place at St. Luke's Lutheran Church, 205 North Prospect Avenue, Park Ridge, IL 60068. Advance Tickets are $15 for general admission and $10 for seniors. Tickets at the door are $20 for general admission and $15 for seniors. Students are free. Subscribe and save $9 for the season's three concert series.
