Comcast presents Mr. Basketball 2013 special with Jabari Parker

On its own, being named Illinois' Mr. Basketball two years in a row would be a remarkable accomplishment for Simeon Career Academy's Jabari Parker.

Yet, the honor only punctuated Parker's senior year that began with an ankle fracture and culminated with a fourth state basketball championship. As he prepares for the next chapter at Duke University, Parker sat down with CN100's Camron Smith for a conversation focused on Parker's final season at Simeon and a legacy that stretched beyond the court and into the community.

This 30-minute program highlights Parker's rare talents as a basketball player and his ability to meet and exceed tremendous expectations. Family, friends and coaches also share their views on Parker the person.

Tune in to CN100, The Comcast Network, at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 10 and July 17, for encore presentations of the Mr. Basketball 2013 special featuring Parker. Visit cn100.tv for additional air times or watch it any time with Xfinity On Demand.
