GLMV Helping Heroes fundraiser continues
The Green Oaks, Libertyville, Mundelein, Vernon Hills Chamber of Commerce Helping Healthcare Heroes Fundraiser, which began at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, is still going strong.
Thanks to many generous donations, the GLMV Chamber has already provided nearly 1,500 individually packed meals for local health care and community heroes, while also supporting its member restaurants. The meals are delivered to a safe location for the teams to enjoy during their shifts.
"All recipients are extremely grateful for the wonderful contributions to make this possible during this challenging time," said GLMV Chairman Karen Kay Lavris. "Thanks to all for making a difference."
The community's help is still needed to continue this effort, with contributions being accepted via a GoFundMe site, gf.me/u/xsxnjv.
