Little Miss Vernon Hills charity event for kids

Little Miss Vernon Hills 2019 Jasmine Wascow held a charity event for Aprendiend Jugango Nov. 17 at Uniquely Sweet in Grayslake.

Jasmine invited the area Little Misses to attend the event and become "chocolatiers" for the day. She collected toys with help of her sister queens for the event.

The program is part of District 73's Hawthorn School of Dual Language in Vernon Hills, and provides children with fun activities during the year which they cannot usually experience due to financial strains.

One of the program's goals is to provide a holiday party, including a gift for each child. Many of these children may receive a gift or two and others may not receive gifts at all during the holidays.

This is why Jasmine decided to support the Aprendiend Jugango program by hosting the event.

She is currently collecting toys among friends and family because her goal is to help out as much as possible and make a great impact in her community.
