Lovell Federal Health Care Center to host Tele-Town Hall on May 31

NORTH CHICAGO, Ill. - The Capt. James A. Lovell Federal Health Care Center invites Veteran and military patients, families, community partners and the public to participate in a Tele-Town Hall which will highlight new VA patient initiatives launching June 6th under the MISSION Act on Friday, May 31, from 12 - 1 p.m. Passed by Congress last year, the MISSION Act includes streamlined and improved Community Care, including new Urgent Care benefits.

The Tele-Town Hall will provide an opportunity for patients and other stakeholders to engage in a discussion on Lovell FHCC's care for VA and TRICARE beneficiaries with FHCC leaders. Over the past three years, almost 100 Tele-Town Hall conducted by VA medical facilities nationwide - including the FHCC - have generated large audiences and meaningful feedback.

This hour-long conference call will be structured like a live radio talk show with an audience, complete with an opportunity for Q & A. Following a short introduction from Lovell FHCC's director and deputy director/commanding officer -- Dr Robert Buckley and Capt. Gregory Thier -- the public will have the opportunity to ask questions. This town hall affirms the commitment of Lovell FHCC to transparent communication with patients, stakeholders and the community.

"This is the fourth Tele-Town Hall for Lovell FHCC. We are excited about offering a more convenient way to communicate with patients, stakeholders, and the community. Please join us to learn more about the exciting updates that will launch on June 6th under the MISSION Act," Buckley said.
