Hundreds 'Pack the Place' to Cheer College of DuPage Women's and Men's Basketb

An estimated 200 guests helped cheer on the College of DuPage men's and women's basketball teams in their wins over hosted Olive-Harvey and Harper colleges, 79-35 and 77-63, respectively. The "Pack the Place" event, part of the College's ongoing year-long 50th anniversary celebration, featured free-throw competitions, meet-and-greets with COD athletes and pep band performances. Additionally, members of the College's men's and women's cross country teams were recognized for their regional championship and the College's football coaching staff and players for their win at the inaugural Red Grange Bowl.

Chartered in 1965 and opening its doors in 1967, College of DuPage was originally formed from 10 high school districts. Since that time, it has evolved and grown into a modern, state-of-the-art institution that has provided high-quality instruction to more than one million students over the past 50 years.

Today, College of DuPage is an accredited community college that serves more than 28,000 students each term. The College, which grants nine associate degrees and more than 170 certificates in 100 areas of study, is the second largest provider of public undergraduate education in Illinois.
