College of DuPage Women's Tennis Continues Its Winning Season

The Lady Chaparral netters are maintaining the pace established at their season opener, defeating Moraine Valley on Sept. 26 and looking forward to taking on Waubonsee Community College Monday, Oct. 3, after their Sept. 29 match was rained out.

The College of DuPage team, who last year was first in the region, is eager to size up the competition as they head into regionals later this month.

"We anticipated that Moraine and Waubonsee would be challenging," said Coach Jim Bowers. "Obviously, we're pleased with the outcome of the Moraine meet. Waubonsee has had a great season so this will be a great test to see how we will do at the regionals."

The six-member COD squad has won every meet in this season's schedule. They finish their regular season Oct. 3 before hosting the regional tournament Oct. 9 to 11 at the Glen Ellyn campus, 425 Fawell Blvd. Click here for the team's full roster.
