COD to Host Free Senior Citizen Advocate Services Workshop Oct. 20

Continuing Education at College of DuPage will host a free seminar designed to inform seniors on sources of advocacy for seniors. The session will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 20, in the Homeland Security Education Center on the College's Glen Ellyn campus, 425 Fawell Blvd.

This workshop is free and open to the public.

Funded through a grant provided by Motorola Solutions, this workshop is designed to provide DuPage County seniors direct contact with various advocates available in their community. The event will include two presentations and an "Expo of Advocates for Seniors." Representatives will be present from a variety of organizations, including Adult Protective Services, Agency on Aging, DuPage County Senior Services, DuPage County Health Department, Smart911 and the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
