Calling All Art Lovers: Mundelein Art Festival Sept. 10 - 11
In addition to professional artists, many of them local, the Mundelein Arts Festival will also highlight artwork by select students from Mundelein High School. Cash prizes will be awarded for Best of Show and Best in Category (six categories). The Kirk Players will award a $500 Emerging Artist Award. There are also Purchase Awards including the Village of Mundelein's Annual Purchase Award. In addition, Mundelein High School will receive scholarship money to award to students pursuing art in college.
The Festival is located in Kracklauer Park in downtown Mundelein, (100 N. Seymour Ave.) Artists will be located in the paved area for easy access by visitors, and local musicians will perform in the Gazebo in the Park, adjacent to the artists' set-up.
