Oregon Park District Executive Director Named 2020 Chair of Illinois Park & Recreation Association

The Illinois Park & Recreation Association (IPRA) has installed Erin Folk, Executive Director of the Oregon Park District, as its 2020 Chair of the Board. She was sworn in during the 2020 IAPD/IPRA Annual Soaring to New Heights Conference in January.

Erin entered the field of parks and recreation in 2002 after completing her undergraduate degree in Recreation Administration at Eastern Illinois University. She joined the Lombard Park District in 2002 and has been with the Oregon Park District since 2006. She has been an IPRA member since 2002, a member of the Illinois Park and Recreation Foundation Board in 2016, and IPRA North West Region Representative in 2017 and 2018. Erin is also a Certified Park and Recreation Professional (CPRP), President of the Oregon Rotary Club and President of the Oregon School Foundation.

Reflecting on her upcoming role, 'I'm extremely grateful for the opportunity to lead this outstanding association and I look forward to the year ahead.'
