Annual Chicago Blackhawks Blood Drive comes to Rosemont Aug. 17
Hockey season is right around the corner and Vitalant will once again team up with the Chicago Blackhawks to save lives.
The annual Chicago Blackhawks Summer Blood Drive will take place from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 17, at the Vitalant (formerly LifeSource) headquarters at 5505 Pearl St. in Rosemont.
All donors will receive a pair of tickets to this year's Chicago Blackhawks Training Camp Festival (while supplies last) scheduled for Sunday, Sept. 15, at the United Center.
In addition to training camp tickets, all donors will be entered into a drawing to win tickets to a regular season Blackhawks game and a jersey autographed by team captain Jonathan Toews.
While walk-ins are always welcome, all are encouraged to schedule an appointment for the blood drive by visiting www.vitalant.org or calling (877) 258-4825.
In preparation for their donation, donors are asked to eat well, stay hydrated and arrive with proper identification.
The donation appointment takes about an hour (with the donation itself only around 10 minutes) and is both safe and comfortable.
