Apply for manufacturing scholarship by March 31

Nuts, Bolts & Thingamajigs, the foundation of Fabricators & Manufacturers Association International in Elgin, raises donations to award scholarships of up to $3,500 to deserving students pursuing a degree in the manufacturing industry.

Applications for the fall 2017 semester are being accepted now through March 31, 2017. Approximately 30 awards will be given in 2017.

Applying is easy!

Students pursuing degrees in these majors or fields of study can apply for a scholarship: aeronautical/aerospace engineering; agricultural/biological systems engineering; automotive technician; aviation technician; biomedical engineering; chemical engineering; civil/structural engineering; CNC manufacturing/machining; ; computer engineering; design/drafting; diesel technician; electrical engineering; environmental engineering; fabrication; geological engineering; HVAC; industrial electrician ; industrial engineering; industrial maintenance; machine tool technology; materials science/engineering; manufacturing engineering; marine engineering/naval architecture; mechanical engineering; mining engineering; operations and technology management; petroleum engineering; petroleum technology; plumbing; quality technology/engineering; renewable energy; robotics/mechatronics/automation; tool and die; welding; and welding engineering.

Encourage students to apply today! Applications must be complete and transcripts must be post marked by March 31, 2017.
