COD Forensics Team Continues Earning Team and Individual Awards

The College of DuPage Forensics speech team recently continued their competitive season at Illinois Central College's annual Harris-Hahn-Howell "Fright Fest" tournament in East Peoria.

COD had multiple finalists during the competition:

Katrina Caluza (Aurora) and Harris Salim (Woodridge), sixth place in Parliamentary debate. Salim also earned first place in Extemporaneous Speaking and first place in Impromptu Speaking; Mojeri Coker (Warrenville), second place in Program of Oral Interpretation; Liz Fritz (Naperville) and Gabbi Gruver (Naperville) won fourth place in Parliamentary debate; Gruver also earned fourth place in Persuasion; Ian Hogan (Naperville), sixth place in Impromptu Speaking; Kelsey Neumann (Glen Ellyn), third place in Impromptu Speaking; Kristi Shawaluk (Bensenville), fifth place in Informative and fourth place in Impromptu Speaking; Hamdan Suhail (Woodridge), sixth place in Program of Oral Interpretation; Emma Swanson (Wood Dale), sixth place in Persuasion. Farris Ahmad (Naperville), eighth place for Impromptu Speaking in the open division.

The College of DuPage Forensics Team is coached by Lauren Morgan, Jude Geiger, Melissa Gomez, Mia Poston, Matt Beifuss and Kelsey Figiel.
