College of DuPage, Adobe Host Free Career Bootcamp on Nov. 19

College of DuPage and Adobe will host the inaugural Adobe Career Bootcamp from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 19, in the Playhouse Theater at the McAninch Arts Center, located on campus at 425 Fawell Blvd., Glen Ellyn.

The free Adobe Career Bootcamp is a half-day, intensive workshop that focuses on the creative strategies of launching a career in any field, with emphasis placed on creative fields. Participants will learn how to network with potential clients and employers, curate a portfolio, and turn compliments into job offers.

"This is a great opportunity for participants to develop a variety of skills, which are not limited to the arts," said Tony Venezia, Professor/Coordinator of the Motion Picture/TV program who is currently serving a two-year term as an Adobe Education Leader. "Creative interviewing techniques, for example, can make anyone stand out in a positive way.

"Professionals working in their fields will share their expertise during the event, and a networking simulation will allow people to practice their newly acquired skills."

Admission is free, but enrollment is required at nvite.com/community/adobecareerbootcamp. For more information, email venezia@cod.edu or call (630) 942-2020.
