Palatine High School Class of 1985 Celebrating 30th Reunion

A 30th reunion celebration has been planned for Palatine High School's class of 1985 for the weekend of July 17 and 18, 2015.

On Friday, July 17 a casual get-together will be held at Tap House Grill, 56 W. Wilson Street, Palatine starting at 7:00pm. There are no formal arrangements for Friday evening's event. Classmates and their guests are invited to enjoy food and beverages off the extensive Tap House menu while connecting with classmates.

On Saturday, July 18, the reunion committee, through a donation from classmate Chris Strzalka, has reserved the upstairs room at Durty Nellie's, 180 N. Smith Road, Palatine, from 7:00pm to 10:00pm. Once again classmates and their guests are invited to attend to enjoy appetizers, dinner and beverages off the menu at this popular neighborhood tavern. All purchases on Saturday night will go toward the room reservation minimum. There is no fee to attend the event, but donations to help defray the costs may be sent via paypal to amyelund@yahoo.com. A slide show of photos from the 80's will be shared, and attendees are also encouraged to bring along current photos of themselves and their families for display.

In addition, on Saturday, July 18, class of '85 member Phil Stander will be leading a motorcycle ride for everyone wishing to join. The group will meet at McHenry Harley Davidson, 1903 IL-120, McHenry, IL at 10:00 am. Riders should arrive with a full tank and an empty tank. The group will go kick stands up at 10:45 for a scenic lunch ride of approximately 100 miles.

For more information on any of these events, search for the class's Facebook Group: Palatine High School Class of 1985. Graduates will be added to the group so they can connect with classmates and RSVP for events.
