Gift Wrapping for Patients is Serious Business at Streamwood Behavioral Healthcare System

Heidi, on the left, SBHS's Director of Expressive Therapy. Every year, Heidi shops and wraps all of the gifts that Streamwood patients receive on Christmas. As a way of supporting their teammate, SBHS staff came together to complete a time consuming task while still having a little fun along the way.

One of the hospital's "12 Days" events was, "How Many Gifts Can You Wrap?" Erica, who is one of the facility's inpatient teachers, won the contest by wrapping eight presents in five minutes!

As part of H.O.P.E. SBHS employees help one another out in the best interest of patient care. The children that will need acute care over Christmas will also experience holiday giving with the presents that were purchased for them. Holidays are a difficult time and the staff at SBHS strive to make them as comforting as possible.
