Streamwood Behavioral Healthcare System Finds Creative Ways to Celebrate Holidays with Patients and Staff

Streamwood Behavioral Healthcare System's '12 Days of Holiday Cheer' began Monday, December 15th.

The '12 Days' program is organized by the facility's HOPE Committee. They work year-round to come up with activities that are driven for their patients, help build morale for their staff, and positively impact the facility's environment for all to encounter it.

Care does not stop because of the holiday. Instead, the facility finds creative ways to incorporate celebrations into what can be a tough time for patients, staff and families.

Activities include writing letters to Santa, decorating ornaments, hot chocolate time and more!

For one of the activities, SBHS will need the help of the public on Facebook at www.facebook.com/streamwoodBHS. Patients and departments throughout SBHS will create a 'Winter Wonderland' along the SBHS drive way and they need the community to help choose the winning designs! Stay tuned for the photo album on Facebook. For now, check out all the activities Streamwood Behavioral Healthcare System has planned for all '12 Days' of the program!
