Lake County 4-H Presents its 2nd Annual National 4-H Science Day

The University of Illinois Extension Lake County 4-H will be holding its 2nd Annual National 4-H Science Day, Rockets to the Rescue http://www.4-h.org/4-h-national-youth-science-day/science-experiments-projects/rockets-to-the-rescue/ on Oct. 13 from 8:30 am till 11:30 am at the Extension office 100 S. Highway 45 in Grayslake. This event is planned in collaboration with Cole-Palmer. Cole Palmer uses their expertise in science and civic engagement to volunteer to teach the National 4-H Science Day curriculum to youth in Lake County. Youth will learn engineering concepts, develop math skills, learn about nutrition and help solve a relevant, global issue.

Aaron Lawlor, Lake County Board Chair will be present to distribute certificates to the 30 participants. Mr. Lawlor represents District 18, which includes all of Vernon Hills and Indian Creek as well as portions of Hawthorn Woods, Long Grove, Mundelein, and unincorporated Lake County.
