Chicago Family Fun Expo offers hands-on fun
With almost 30 years in expos, over 200 expos, and a love of kids, the Chicago Family Fun Expo staff has ventured forth to announce the production of the Chicago Family Fun Expo at the DuPage Expo and Convention Center in St. Charles on Saturday, Oct. 18, and Sunday, Oct. 19.
The primary goal of the Chicago Family Fun Expo is to assist nonprofits through the promotion of hands-on activities and fun shows and seminars throughout the weekend.
Often these nonprofits are working on a shoe string budget, while trying to accomplish great things. So to help, Chicago Family Fun Expo works with larger companies to sponsor these nonprofits with a free booth at the expo. Further, Chicago Family Fun Expo helps create a fundraiser through couponing where 50 percent of the gate goes back to the participating nonprofits.
The show warns attendees that touching and learning through hands-on projects will inspire great family memories! Make paper airplanes and put them through a NASA wind tunnel, see exotic local animals and raptors, be musical, sample theater, get busy with S.T.E.M. projects and list goes on and on!
Retail vendors and boutique business offer everything from programs for upcoming winter outings, to cool mystery parties, as well as bowling, Scouts, face painting, swimming and more!
Stay tuned for our main stage where exhibitors will showcase fashion shows, theater debuts, local talent acts, casting calls, cheerleading, and martial arts. Stick around for Paul Lee's Magic Show, Saturday at 1 p.m., and Jim Nesci with Cold Blooded Creatures Sunday at 1 p.m. A full list of events will be posted week of the show on the Facebook page.
Those interested in exhibiting should call soon. Family businesses of all types and nonprofit organizations wishing to exhibit at the Chicago Family Fun Expo are asked to call (630) 385-4000. Sponsorships are available for nonprofits who can't otherwise afford to be there.
Admission is $7; free for those under 18 with a parent or seniors, age 65 and older. Parking is free. Adult wristbands are good for two days, so come Saturday and stay for Sunday!
The Chicago Family Fun Expo hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 18, and Sunday, Oct. 19, at the DuPage Expo and Convention Center, 4050 E. Main St., St. Charles.
