New Business in Downtown West Chicago Will Be A Resource For HVAC Supplies and Information
West Chicago, Illinois: January 31, 2013 – A new niche business in downtown West Chicago will offer homeowners and contractors looking for parts and/or information for their heating and cooling needs, a convenient local resource. A.R.S. HVAC Supply, Inc. (A.R.S.) has opened its doors at 210 Main Street and offers friendly, knowledgeable service and specialty parts not readily found elsewhere.
First-time business owner Gabe Fernandez is a graduate of West Chicago Community High School who continued his education for HVAC and subsequently worked for a distributor, working at inside and outside sales and picking up the skills he needed to run his own company. He is a long-time resident and fan of West Chicago and wanted to open his business in his home-town.
Fernandez, along with store manager James Patterson hope to establish themselves as the “go-to” source for industry-related solutions for an array of customer needs. The store sells equipment parts from appliances to furnaces and air conditioners, but that's not all it offers. “The store is not only a place to buy parts, but is also a resource for information about maintenance and whether a unit is working properly. In this era where everyone looks to the internet, there is still nothing like getting face-to-face information,” said Fernandez when asked what distinguishes his business.
To that end, A.R.S. will be hosting a Home Improvement Show, in conjunction with a Grand Opening/Ribbon- cutting through the Western DuPage Chamber of Commerce on Saturday, February 9, 2013 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Acting Mayor Ruben Pineda will assist in cutting the ceremonial ribbon at 10:00 a.m. The event, which is open to the general public, will have other home improvement vendors on hand to help answer any questions related to their expertise. Among vendors participating are two other West Chicago businesses: Airmergency Heating & Cooling and Quality Home Exteriors. Plus, CS Enterprises Landscaping, DJC Refrigeration, R & R Painting and Repair and Zion Countertops will be on-hand.
Fernandez and Patterson hope families come out for the event and have partnered with a neighboring business, the Rosy Ice Cream Shop, to offer free popsicles for the kids. Also included at the end of the event will be random drawings for a $25 gift card from Best Buy, a DVD player and a flat screen TV. Winners must be present at the time of the drawing.
“The opening of a new business is always cause for celebration,” commented Acting Mayor Pineda. “Main Streets all over America were built by the type of entrepreneurial spirit shown by Gabe Fernandez to provide the convenience of a specialty service or product. A.R.S. is one such business and we are delighted to welcome it to downtown West Chicago.”
