Home Care Personal Services executive appointed to statewide homecare board

Laura Bishop, vice president and chief financial officer of Home Care Personal Services, Inc., has been appointed to the board of directors of the Illinois Association of Community Care Homecare Providers (IACCPHP). The IACCPHP is a statewide association assisting Illinois homecare agencies with training, promotion of services, and advocacy for the aging population.

Bishop joined Home Care Personal Services, Inc., in 1989 as a file clerk, working her way up to her current position overseeing the general operations and finances of the company, and concurrently serves on the agency's board of directors.

A graduate of Elmhurst College, Bishop's deep business experience includes serving as chief financial officer and operations manager at an alternative women's healthcare center in Boston. Along with her board appointments both at Home Care and with the IACCPHP, she also serves on the board of directors for Industrial Tool Products (Wood Dale, Ill.).

Bishop is an active member of the professional community and in her local community. She is a member of the IACCPHP, the Alzheimer's Association, Association of Senior Service Providers, ARCH National Respite Network and Illinois Respite Coalition. Locally, she is active in her school district's PTA/Booster Club and was formerly a Girl Scout Co-Leader.
