It's tax time - find a CPA online at Illinois CPA Society site

If it's been a year of big changes for you – marriage, divorce, new job, small business start-up or retirement – or you don't feel confident that you're taking advantage of all the tax credits and deductions available to you, maybe this is the tax season you should start working with a trusted professional, your local CPA.

The Illinois CPA Society has an easy-to-use online feature, “Find a CPA,” which allows individuals, businesses and non-profit organizations to do a simple search through a directory of member CPAs.

The feature can be found on the homepage of the Society's site, www.icpas.org.

Your search can be narrowed down by location, the type of services needed, industries served and language preference. There's even a “Quick Search” to find a CPA who prepares individual income tax returns or one who works with non-profit organizations. The “Find a CPA” section also includes helpful information on choosing and using a CPA.

For more information about the “Find a CPA” directory contact Michele Haryasz, the society's director of knowledge management, at (312) 993-0407, ext. 287 or haryaszm@icpas.org.
