The Springs at Monarch Landing Introduces Guest Relations Specialist Position

With a strong focus on ensuring the best experience possible, The Springs at Monarch Landing has introduced a guest relations specialist position. Assuming the new role is Vi Seng, a self-professed people-pleaser. "I love helping out. I'm passionate about helping people. It feels great that people look to me to help them answer questions or solve their issues," she said.

"By creating the guest relations specialist position, we are really putting the guests, residents and their families first. We are committed to providing the best possible service, and this is an important part of making sure that happens. Vi is one of the first friendly faces that guests and residents will see when they come through the doors, and will ease the transition from home or hospital to The Springs. She'll continue to check in on them throughout their stay," said Samantha Breden, director of business development at The Springs. "Vi's presence also permits other professional staff such as nurses and therapists, to concentrate on what they do best...providing excellent hands-on care, while Vi handles questions and concerns. A guest relations specialist position is a bit unique for a retirement community, and we're excited to take creating great customer service to the next level."

Vi's inherent warmth and enthusiasm make her the perfect candidate for the newly created position. So too does her love and respect for seniors. Growing up in Laos, Vi said that she was very close to her grandmother. "She was like a second mom to me and I learned a lot from her. There is so much that I can learn from the elderly. They always have a special place in my heart. Working at The Springs makes me feel closer to my grandma. It's really an indescribable experience."

Vi spends much of her day interacting with guests, residents and family members. "I love getting to know everyone and building a relationship with them. It's nice that they know that they can call me and ask me questions. It's the relationship building with them that's the part of my job that I like best," she said. "I am so lucky and grateful that I'm excited to wake up and come to work everyday."
