Camp Dean offers summer camp for all girls

Girl Scouts of Northern Illinois offers a variety of summer camp sessions, including day and overnight camp, at Camp Dean in Big Rock, Illinois.

Camp Dean is open to all girls - not just Girl Scouts - in first to 12th grade.

Since girls select their own experiences in Girl Scouts, they can choose to limit their participation to camp enjoyment! Girls do not have to join a troop.

Financial assistance for camp is available to registered members of GSNI. To view the 2014 Camp Guide or register for camp, visit www.girlscoutsni.org.

Registration is open for these camps.

• "What's Cooking?" will be offered to third- to fifth-graders on July 9-11, and to fifth- to seventh-graders on July 20-25. Cost is $150 for the three-day camp and $260 for the longer camp. Come to camp for the adventure - stay for the food! Grab a whisk and mixing bowls; this session is going to be delicious! In addition to swimming, hiking, arts and crafts, try new campfire recipes and develop skills as an outdoor chef.
