Painting Contractor Association Awards 9 Scholarships

The Northern Illinois Painting & Drywall Institute, Aurora, IL has helped over 340 students with more than $287,000 in scholarships over the past 18 years.

This year, 9 recipients were chosen and received scholarships during their Scholarship Awards Event held at Maggiano's in Naperville last month. Kane County Chairman and former Illinois State Senator Chris Lauzen, addressed students and provided encouraging comments during the event. Ken Ober, NiPDi Chairman and Mark Palmer, NiPDi Executive Director & CEO were the event emcees.

Scholarships are available each year to students that are sponsored by a NiPDi contractor with money raised from various outings & fundraisers. We wish all 2013 scholarship recipients luck in all of their future endeavors.

NiPDi and the Finishing Contractors Association of Illinois represents the union painting & drywall, taping and glazing industry in Painters District Council #30 Northern and Central Illinois.
