Flashes of Hope and Atia's Project Ladybug Fund partner with The Momsay.com to Host Fundraising Event Event proceeds will be donated to benefit pediatric cancer research and families impacted by pediatric cancer.

CHICAGO — The Momsay.com, a Chicago-based parenting online resource, will host an exclusive fundraising event to benefit two pediatric cancer charities, Flashes of Hope and Atia's Project Ladybug Fund. The event, set for Friday May 17th, will take place at the Medinah Country Club and will include a fashion show, raffle, and several vendor showcases. A portion of the ticket proceeds will be donated to these charities.

Flashes of Hope is a nonprofit organization that changes the way children with cancer and other life threatening illnesses see themselves through the gift of photography and raises money for pediatric cancer research. The portraits, taken by award-winning photographers, help children feel better about their changing appearance by celebrating it.

“For families of terminally ill children, it's especially important to have a portrait that preserves forever the beauty, grace and dignity of their child, ” states Carrie Gowens, Flashes of Hope Chicago Chapter Director. “Partnering with The Momsay helps our organization reach out to families who want help other local families.”

Atia's Project Ladybug Fund (APLF) is Chicago's chapter of Project Ladybug Fund, dedicated in the name of a young Chicago girl treated at The University of Chicago Comer Children's Hospital. The hope of APLF is to improve the lives of pediatric cancer patients and their families by minimize outside stresses so they can focus their energy on what's truly important – getting well.

“We are very excited to partner with The Momsay for this event to help support and build awareness for Project Ladybug Fund,” comments Laura Lutarewych, Director of APLF. “These events help support our vision to focus on meeting the psycho-social challenges of pediatric cancer for families.”

The Momsay Girls Night Out Fundraising Event takes place Friday May 17 at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $30 per person.
