Chicago Vision Walk at Soldier Field Summer 2011

The Chicagoland area will be hosting a 5-k Visionwalk this summer at Soldier Field. The event has raised over $10 million to fund sight-saving research since its inception in the spring of 2006. This year there will be 50 walks held throughout the country and Chicago has the opportunity to participate in this family-friendly walk-a-thon. Retinal degenerative disease affects more than 10 million Americans and the Foundation's mission funds research to find preventions, treatments, and cures. The Chicagoland VisionWalk is expected to raise more than $300,000 for sight-saving research as well as create countless memories for a good cause. The event takes place on Sunday, June 12, 2011 at Soldier Field. Registration begins at 9:00 am and the walk begins at 10:30 am. If you have questions regarding the Foundation or VisionWalk, please feel free to contact Michele DiVencenzo at 847-680-0100 or MDivincenzo@fightblindness.org.
