There will be special activities for older youth, age 14 to 20, with .22 caliber pistol and shotgun shooting (off-site).

It will feature seven zones of STEM Fun: Shooting Sports Zone, Sports Zone, Manufacturing Zone, Training Zone, Environmental Zone, Abilities Awareness Zone and Adventure Zone. This event offers something for everyone, young and old alike.

All registered youth will be entered to win one of five drones/quad-copters. The drawing will be held during the Arena Show. You need not be present to win.

In addition, there also will be Stride & Soar 5K Run: STEM In Motion, a new 5K race as part of the event. The race starts at 7:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 30. It is open to all runners. The course offers all runners a challenge, but seasoned runners will find the new course a welcome addition. The start and finish will be in the Sandwich County Fairgrounds with the main course winding through bucolic Sandwich. Registration by 8:30 a.m. Sept. 30 is $40 with an event shirt or $25 without; there is also an online fee.
