Michael Peck, Superintendent for the Veterans Assistance Commission of Lake County presents Sheriff Mark C. Curran, Jr with the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve Patriot Award. ESGR recognizes employers who go above and beyond what the law requires in supporting National Guardsmen and Reservist who work for them in their civilian lives. Curran was nominated by Sheriff's Deputy and U.S. Army Reserve Staff Sergeant Julie Morris for consistently accommodating the duty schedules of Morris and10 other Deputies and Correction Officers who worked for the Sheriffs Department.
