Winter storm postpones boys playoff basketball games

The winter storm hitting the suburbs today has caused all boys high school playoff games involving area teams to be postponed until Wednesday. All tickets purchased for Tuesday's games will be good for Wednesday.

As a result, Class 3A and Class 4A sectional semifinal games previously scheduled for Wednesday will now be moved to Thursday. Sectional championship games will remain as scheduled on Friday.

• At the Schaumburg sectional, the Glenbard East vs. Proviso East has been postponed to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday. That switch moves the York vs. Oak Park River Forest game to 7:30 p.m. Thursday.

• At the DeKalb sectional, the Larkin vs. Rockford Jefferson game has been postponed to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday. That switch moves the Boylan Catholic vs. Crystal Lake Central game to 7:30 p.m. Thursday.

• At the Waukegan sectional at the old East campus, the Stevenson vs. Mundelein game has been postponed to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday. That switch moves the Zion-Benton vs. Saint Viator game to 7:30 p.m. Thursday.

• At the Bolingbrook sectional, the West Aurora vs. Oswego has been postponed to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday. That switch moves the Neuqua Valley vs. Benet Academy game to 7:30 p.m. Thursday.

• At the Northbrook sectional at Glenbrook North, the Maine South vs. Niles North game has been postponed to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday. That switch moves the Notre Dame College Prep vs. New Trier game to 7:30 p.m. Thursday.

• At the Antioch sectional, the North Chicago vs. Chicago Uplift game has been postponed to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday. That switch moves the Carmel vs. Lakes game to 7:30 p.m. Thursday.

• At the Freeport sectional, the Woodstock vs. Rockford Lutheran game has been postponed to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday. That switch moves the Sycamore vs. Wheaton St. Francis game to 7:30 p.m. Thursday.
