Ela Township scholarships available to LZHS students
- Article
Five local scholarships are available to Lake Zurich High School students who live in Ela Township. The scholarships, offered at no cost to taxpayers, will be awarded on the basis of community service and reasonable academic achievement. Preference is given to students who have selected College of Lake County as their goal. Previously, the township has awarded 21 grants of $1,500 each. The scholarships are awarded from funds the students pay for reserve parking at the Ela Soccer Field. Scholarships are also available through the township's Young Entrepreneurs program. Applications for each are available from Carl Krause at the high school and at the township office, 1155 E. Route 22, Lake Zurich, or visit the website, www.toi.org/elatownship.
