Family History Writers' Workshop Scheduled on July 14th at main Schaumburg Library.

The Computer-Assisted Genealogy Group of Northern Illinois (CAGGNI) will hold a writer's workshop to help persons to write a family history. The workshop is free and open to the public.

Participants will discuss how to build a compelling family history story around genealogical evidence, incorporating text and bringing the history alive with photos and other artifacts.

Facilitator Nancy R. Thomas will show how to export material from Family Tree Maker Genealogy software for publishing a history. Participants are encouraged to bring an idea to begin building a story. A follow up workshop in early 2013 will permit participants to share, receive feedback, and further develop their stories.

The workshop will be held at the main Schaumburg Library, 130 S. Roselle Road, Schaumburg from 10:30 to 12:30 on Saturday July 14, 2012. This workshop is one of CAGGNI's Second Saturday Workshop series. Please join us for this very informative program.
