Gallery Theater closes successful season with Neil Simon's 'Chapter Two'
West Chicago, Illinois: April 26, 2012 - It's just two weeks until Gallery Theater presents "Chapter Two," the final production of their first season. Gallery 200/STUDIO hosts Gallery Theater productions in its cozy, intimate theater space at 203 Turner Court in downtown West Chicago, and is the perfect venue for a play where the heartache is played as adroitly as the humor.
Essentially a comedy, this Neil Simon play features the struggle of two lonely people to overcome their individual pasts to create a joint future. Although it seems like a heavy subject, Simon's wonderful narrative and witty dialogue makes Chapter Two an immensely likable evening of theater.
Featured in the cast of the Gallery Theater production are Debbi Dennison (Schaumburg); and Mark Fortman (West Chicago); Amy Gray (Chicago); Christopher Williams (Aurora).
Performances are May 11, 12, or 13, 2012. Friday and Saturday performances are at 7:30 p.m. There will be two performances on Sunday; one at 3:00 p.m. and one at 7:00 p.m.
Tickets are $8. Reservations can be made by emailing gallerytheater@gmail.com. Tickets will go on sale April 25, 2012 and may be purchased at the theater. Please call (630) 639-0594 for box office times.
Gallery200/STUDIO, the venue for Gallery Theater, is a cultural initiative supported by the City of West Chicago and the West Chicago Cultural Arts Commission, and is one more reason West Chicago was named an Illinois Arts Friendly Community in 2007.
