Get subscription tickets for new James Lumber Center season

On Monday, July 13, tickets will go on sale for 13 entertainment events featured in the 19th Professional Touring Season at the James Lumber Center for the Performing Arts at the College of Lake County in Grayslake.

"Get ready to enjoy fantastic entertainment at the James Lumber Center this season," said Gwethalyn J. Bronner, executive director. "From mystery and theatrics to acrobatics and dance, plus a lot of musical events, from classical to folk to retro rock, the 2015-16 season will offer both well-known top acts and unique performance acts new to the JLC. Bring your family and friends to the preshow mingle for a full evening of fun."

The 2015-16 season includes the following events:

• Sphinx Virtuosi: 7:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 25, in the Studio Theatre. The Sphinx Virtuosi is one of the nation's most dynamic professional string orchestras. For their return engagement to CLC, the group will present "Inspiring Women," a collection of works written by women composers along with those inspired by great women. • Ailey II: 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 21, in the Mainstage Theatre. Ailey II is universally renowned for merging the spirit and energy of the country's best young dance talent with the passion and creative vision of today's most outstanding emerging choreographers. • Visions from Cape Breton and Beyond - A Celtic Family Celebration: 7 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 15, Mainstage Theatre. Natalie MacMaster and Donnell Leahy (of the Canadian group Leahy) and their children will highlight their unique talents, influences and stories through Celtic dancing, singing and world-class music-making. • Windham Hill - A Winter's Solstice Concert: 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 8, in the Mainstage Theatre. Grammy-nominated Barbara Higbie, Liz Story and Sean Harkness present classic and original holiday music in celebration of Winter Solstice with warmth and humor. • Peking Acrobats 30th Anniversary Tour: 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 19, 2016, in the Mainstage Theatre. The Peking Acrobats will keep you laughing and on the edge of your seat as they perform their maneuvers atop a precarious pagoda of chairs, plus trick cycling, precision tumbling and gymnastics. • Mariachi Divas: 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 9, 2016, in the Mainstage Theatre. Winners of two Grammy Awards (with six nominations), this all-female Mariachi group brings new meaning to the genre with their multicultural, eclectic and innovative sound. Visit www.mariachidivas.com.

• Manual Cinema's "Lula Del Ray": 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 27, 2016, in the Studio Theatre. Set in the midcentury American Southwest and inspired by the music of Hank Williams, Roy Orbison and Patsy Cline, "Lula Del Ray" is a mythic reinvention of the classic coming-of-age story. • Jim Brickman: 8 p.m. Saturday, May 7, 2016, in the Mainstage Theatre. Brickman's stage presence blends mood and music to touch the heart. The deadline to purchase Professional Touring Season Subscriptions (three or more events) is Sept. 30. Subscribers can purchase additional tickets throughout the whole season at the low subscriber rate in addition to getting the best seats available.

They also receive personalized assistance creating their subscription, handling and exchange fees waived and ticket exchanges up to 24 hours prior to the event during regular box office hours. A dedicated subscriber phone line for ordering is available at (847) 986-1800. A $2 per ticket JLC facility fee will be added at the time of purchase. Other fees may apply.

Subscription tickets can be purchased at the box office in the James Lumber Center, Room P112, on the Grayslake campus, 19351 W. Washington St., or by phone. Subscriptions are not available for online purchase, but patrons can learn more at www.clcillinois.edu/tickets. For more information, call the box office at (847) 543-2300 (option 5).

The box office is open 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday. Beginning Aug. 14, the college will resume Friday operations and the Box Office will be open Monday through Friday. Single tickets (not part of a subscription of three of more events) go on sale Aug. 24.
